This fully illustrated material brings information on 10 possibilities for treating domestic sewage in an ecological way, describing the characteristics of the system, how it is handled and maintained, how to design, what are the advantages and factors to be considered, in some cases, the step-by-step on how to build, and homemade recipes for ecological cleaning products.

The Biodigestor is a sewage treatment system that generates biogas and, in addition to treating the water, makes it possible to use waste, preventing pollution and avoiding the emission of gases into the atmosphere.
Other benefits are:
- reduced energy consumption
- production of biofertilizer
- increase in the family economy

As part of the project, the systems were built together with residents in Ubatuba and Verava, State of São Paulo (Brazil), improving family health and water quality in hydrographic microbasins.
This material was developed between 2017 and 2019. The updated and revised version published in 2022 can be accessed on the IPESA website, in portuguese: https://ipesa.org.br/programas-e-projetos/agua-e-floresta/manejo-da-agua/
